Awkward and small bedroom

I have a victorian house that has a collection of small rooms. I have 2 small rooms for my bedroom, which simply makes 2 small awkward spaces. The second room, is a small sunroom that my husband uses as an office/ closet. What do I do with the room that has my bed. It is small and awkward...help!

It would be amazing if you could have the wall seperating the two rooms taken down. You might need a header between them, but I think that just keeps the house feeling true to it's history and not like new construction.

thank you, we will be doing an addition/extension in about 2 years. I need to make the space liveable without any major remodels until then.

We have a small masterbedroom not unlike this one except the radiator is in a worse location making placement of the bed really tough. What I ended up doing is putting short a dresser at the foot of the bed. It looks very cute (like an unexpected footboard), gave the the storage we needed and gave us both space for a nightstand on eachside of the bed. I don't know if this idea would help you or not. I know you are avoiding remodle, but drywalling up the door would also help and be a much smaller deal than opening a wall. It is a tricky space...I can see your dilema. Is swapping for the other room a possibility? That might be easier if it's only used as a library space.

the other room is very small. I like the idea of adding a short dresser as a footboard!
