Bar Stools or No Bar Stools?

The the counter area is 54in long and the space between the patio door and the wall is 47in. I would prefer 2 bar stools with a back, but would this be too crowded?

Suggestions?

Yes, it is pretty tight, and if people sit there it will impact the walkway.

But I would still put a pair of backless stools there, that can slide all the way under the overhang.

You could also try round bar stools to soften up all of the straight lines in there! :)

You need bar stools to enjoy that area, and without them, the over hang makes no sense. I know backs are the comfy way and I like them. Can you get at least a SMALL back on ones that will push in when not in use? But ya know what? Even if you have backs and you push them in, it is not like the backs take up tons of space AND how many people will be walking behind you while you are seated there???
