Would like contemporary look for dining room 12x14

Attaching picture of dining room set we ordered. Please ignore the table that is already in the picture, it is going out. The walls are Mexicana BM 2172. The window is a bay window that I would like to dress up in contemporary. Ceiling is tray painted in flat white. Floor is oak with gunstock stain. Am also considering whether or not to add moldings?
Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks in advance.

You are heading in the right direction for contemporary....if you let me know what you like in art, I am happy to place my work into your space. Here are just a few ideas (I do not know what you like)......

My portfolio is here:

If you want to go crisp modern, I wouldn't add moldings to the space. Modern art, like Terrace Gallery's second photo would look great with your dining set. Actually, I think if the walls were painted a soft gray it would be more of a contemporary feel than the southwest type color on the walls now. Simple roman shades in black would look great in the bay window.

I agree, I think the red is too traditional?

Yup....soft gray with simple black and white would go perfect with your new dinning set. :)

I am a painter....but not a house painter....I am sure someone will chime in with the exact perfect color by name and maker. :)

This wall color is Dove Gray...in your dining purchase photo, the art wall is a light gray as well! Looks great with the dining set.

If you're looking for art, you can see original work hanging in your room on the ARTtwo50 iPad app. It lets you browse through works and see them exactly in your space. That way, you can customize your contemporary look and also make sure everything works together and gives off that sleek, contemporary style. You can also compare and share the art to make sure it works. I think you van download from arttwo50.com.

The share page looks like this: (but with your art in your space):

Darzy, love the chandelier options. I need 4 wall sconces as well that would go with either of those. Also, can you make rug suggestions as well? Much thanks
