Kitchen/Dining Help

About to move into a new rental. This is the kitchen at present with the previous occupants dining table. I cannot do anything about the kitchen cabinets or flooring so could really do with some help and inspiration for the dining table and chairs. I plan to brighten up the area with family photos, artwork etc. Planning on keeping walls neutral. Really do not have a clue about what style or type of wood to buy for the dining set. Please help!!!! I really want this to look nice.

Above are sort of the tables we are considering - not necessarily with pictured chairs. Am i on the right track?

Hi, I would work with the color palette of the kitchen tiles. in particular there is a blue-green-turquoise (I can't see well in the picture) would work great with the white background of the wall.
In the window you can use a fabric blind, aside the window 2 wall candle holders. In the right wall a composition with vintage style frames in a combination according with the tiles's colors.
I like your third option for the table and chairs.
This is my idea ;)

I liked the 3rd dining table option best because it looked very comfortable. But like fabric seats, they stain and show wear very quickly. For a longer lasting option, I would recommend option 1.

I love the colours on the kitchen backsplash. Makes your task of decorating much easier! Just repeat 2 of the colours around the room in accessories, curtains and a rug. Have fun!

Thats a great suggestion. We have a teal sofa in our living area so might also help things flow very well!

Chemayne, i can get the seats with a leather or faux leather finish. Do you think they would wear better? Do you think i matters which wood finish i go for?

Would you consider painting a set you have now? I'd pull a lighter color from the same tiles and go with that. Colored cushions or placemats and curtain to tie it all together. Love that aqua in the tile; carry that into whatever you do!

Makes good sense getting them in leather or faux leather. Same light colour as the fabric option will keep your room light and bright.
