low cost bathroom renos

My 90 year old mother and I are purchasing a little (1100 sq ft) condo with two bathrooms, both of which need renovation. Would like a curbless shower for her master bath along with replacement of all other bath features - not to mention other fixing up needed in the unit we found. Any economical - even innovative designs for us? Is curbless a lot more expensive than other types of showers? We are on the ground floor, so have cement slab under the floors if that makes any difference.

I don't believe that curb less is any more expensive than normal. And it's a great idea for getting older....maybe you should plan ahead and have your bath done the same way? Put in a bench if you have room, and a hand held shower head. And for sure a grab bar! make sure all door openings are wide enough for a wheelchair if necessary. Good luck!
