Do I coordinate the walls with the flooring?

This sounds like a simple question but I could write a couple of pages on this!

In a nutshell, your wall colours need to have similar undertones to the undertones in the flooring colour. This creates a harmonious interior. You probably don't want to paint every room a different colour, and should find the perfect neutral for most areas, leaving small rooms or areas you want to accent as places where you might put some stronger colour. The beauty of using neutral paint is that you can add colour with your drapes or area rugs or furnishings and artwork.

The best thing for you to do would be to consult with a professional interior decorator with colour training. This person would look at the furnishings and the existing floor and select colours that will pull everything together. I hope you aren't trying to pick your paint before knowing what your furnishings will look like. There are millions of colours of paint, but very limited colours of fabric available by comparison.
