I want to create a warm relaxing space but I'm stuck with the carpet. It's dark green with a tiny bit of cream and red in it. Any suggestions for wall colours and curtains and duvet colours. Any hep appreciated

A cream fluffy carpet with a lilac and shades of dark purple as a duvet. The back wall could be wallpapered flowers and the rest of the walls just plane white x I'm 12 and love to become an interior designer as well x can u also post me what the finished room looks like? x

Put an area rug over the carpet. Do you have any other shots from other parts of the room for perspective? any other furniture in the room? Art, rugs, pillows, and beautiful comforters go a long way when creating a cozy room.

Here's a few more pics of room. Furniture in room consists of bed, free standing mirror, chest of drawers and 2 lockers. No artwork yet.

Are you in love with the wood furniture or would you consider painting it?

I would not paint the walls as your carpet is quite busy but add some elegant artwork with the same blue tone of the capet and a lovely neutral duvet or one with a similar tone to the capet.

I'm not against painting the furniture. I will be doing all the work myself so I need to get the courage to start it .

#handyman I'm not against painting the bed etc (not my doors-years of letting it get to the right colour before we lacquered them). I will be doing all the work myself so I just need to work up the courage to start. What do you suggest? White/off white??

Funny that you said that, I was thinking a cream myself! It leaves it open to working with almost anything. I wouldn't do the doors either. I do think a butter yellow on the walls might be something to consider, it would go nicely with the blue carpet. .
