This room inspired me to paint my living room shaker beige, now I need a suggestion for the foyer/ hall that is connected to lvg room, my husbands suggests going darker but I'm not too sure about darker, the floor is a light brown tile.
any suggestions?

I agree with your husband, as long as you have light spilling into your foyer area, and it's not tight and closed in - 1 or 2 shades darker may give a great distinction between the two rooms. Try it in a sample area and see how you like it!

Just make sure you have the old paint formula. Take the old formula and get a sample of next darker shade (or two). Your husband may be right to try this. It could create a little drama there and then you step into the lighter space. First reply correct about the lighting.

The foyer should be light & inviting, not dark & cold looking. Depending on your layout maybe an accent wall would be what would make a statement & make people excited to see what was down the hall.

I think it would look realllyyy good in a light navy blue....It would look so perfect with the tiled floor. Or you could try a red, That would also look really nice.
