chandeliers as bedside lighting

sjr1087August 8, 2013
I love the look of hanging a chandelier over a nightstand and have an attic that I can run wiring BUT how does one control the lighting so you you don't have to get up out of bed to turn off the lights or is this more of a decorative feature and controlled by the main light switch that controls the ceiling fan over the bed? Thanks

I had my bedroom wired so that I can do this eventually and I had them put light switches under each fixture on either side of the bed so you can reach up and switch it off.
