We bought this 1978 house 5 years ago, mostly un-remodeled. It's been 5 years and I am finally to the family room. It has paneling, (sheetrocking is not an option). The color if very dark brown on the bottom, then has chair rail molding w/ a dark walnut stain, then this ugly dijon mustard looking color on top. Besides what color to paint, not sure what to do with the window. It has cedar trim that is also a dark walnut stain. So my question, what color combination would you recommend? And what do I do with the cedar?
