    It is 1 1/2" thick - and yes it is one piece - Cypress boards glues together with a rough hewn finish.

    what is the approximate price for the table (the size would be approx. 96"x48")

    hey, not local. south fl...want my husband to build for me...if this is cypress, can you explain how to stain for dark finish? did you use alcohol stain?

    It is Cypress - but it is a catalyzed conversion varnish with a custom created stain color. Your local paint store may be able to help you with color and finish options!
