Drape ideas needed

westcoastgirlazAugust 17, 2013
I have 3 very large windows that need non-functional drapes on or around them. Any ideas?
1 large window is 7 ft x 8 ft high
1 is a extra large sliding glass door. (none use) with 2 side windows. This window is on the adjacent wall from large window.
1 extra large sliding glass door (functional) same wall as other Sl Gl Dr but 7 feet over. There is a floor transition.
I can't treat them all the same cuz they are all so different. I have done nothing and its been eight years. Ug. Thanks in advance for helping w my drape drama!

If it were me, I would leave the top glass panels open and apply window treatments only to the glass areas below the top panels. The windows are beautiful and wouldn't want to take away from the light and airy feeling the top panels would give by being open. Now with that said, what are the measurements less the top panels? The options are endless, what are your tastes? Do you want a "hard" look as in blinds or shutters or a "soft" look with flowing curtains or drapes?

Thank you. This drapes are for looks only so I will not be putting anything on the windows to block light or sun. Just drapes on the side to look more homey and not like I just moved in. Side panels come to mind but didn't know if it should be the same for all windows

Ok, here are a couple of vague ideas from levolor.com website. And yes, keep the window treatments the same. The curtains in between the main windows are really appeallng and offer a uniform theme
