How to Stereo system throughout new house

Building a house. Want good stereo system throughout. Can't understand the technology between bluetooth, wireless, apple's technologies, etc. If the system is wired one, it would be better to do it before walls are finished? Help? Ideas? Comments?

If you are hard wiring it would definitely be easier to do it before the dry wall goes up. When the electrician is installing you should ask for his advice unless you are getting professionals to install the sound system.

If you want to go wireless, you just need a wireless router hooked up when the house is finished and you have internet. Using an Apple Airport wireless router and wireless speakers you can have music wherever you want. Or if you want to use Bluetooth and have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod just turn the bluetooth on in your Settings then push the Bluetooth button on your speakers to pair/connect. They can show you at any Apple Store.

Good Stereo System Throughout? Then yes, you'll want to use quality in-wall speaker cable throughout the home. Pull speaker cable to each place you wish to locate speakers from the MEC. (Main Equipment Center) You'll need an amp designed to run multiple pairs of speakers and a source for playing the music. We use the Sonos products for the source. You can stream Pandora, Spotify, any radio station and your digital music collection from it. You control it using your smart phone, tablet or computer. You can even stream to it from your iPhone. Let me know more of the details and I'd be happy to help you out.

Definitely wire it if you want quality. If you have a GC, have them talk to your AV sub about where conduit would be helpful for future pulls for if/when you want or need to upgrade or expand.
