The sill is 20" deep, is 24" high and runs about 12 feet in length with a slight curve.

It looks like the perfect spot for some indoor ornamental plants like Orchids. Get a large shallow ceramic flower pot (large oval) and put inside it three or four orchids all white or all pink and put some rocks between the pots to keep them in place and set them at this ledge, right in the middle, they will look beautiful. You could change the plants seasonally, you can use poinsettia around the holidays, orchids in the spring and summer, African violets in the fall.

Too bad it's not tall enough to use as a buffet! The plant idea is nice. Orchids are beautiful, but not a good plant for biggers though, because it's rather difficult to get them to rebloom. Unless your budget allows you to buy & toss as your discretion (or regift to a green-thumb friend).

Succulents are a trendy look & impossible to kill unless you overwater them!

My only advice, keep it simple, one or two major things - plant grouping would count as one, maybe a grouping of 3 approx. 24" high candlesticks of varying heights in one corner would count as 2. Appears you're in SW. - maybe a tall wooden St. Francis or other Tribal carved art in one of the corners?

Bamboo shades on each window. Is it too high to sit on? You could add pillows . But if to high wont work. But I would cover the windows it would have a more Finish look. Color of shades would depend on other colors in room.

What about having a built-in bench made? A curved curtain rod/curtains would look nice too.
