Ideas for bath tile to compliment porcelain floor tile

Hi everyone!

I recently purchased 24 x 6 in Porcelain tiles for my small bathroom floor. I am re-doing the entire room, and have many details figured out.. with the exception of tile for the bath surround that will coordinate well with the flooring I have picked out. I'm not very good at that.

Paint color will be Martha Stewart's Tidewater.

Can anyone give me some ideas about what might look nice with these items? I am lost.

Lately, we've been selling a lot of these wood/look porcelains for bath projects. Many people are using a simple subway tile on the walls. Another popular avenue would be to go with a stone look-not like marble- but with more of a natural "slate" feel.

I can see a very light tumbled travertine subway tile on the walls. Have you considered laying the porcelain tile in a herringbone pattern on the floor? that would be gorgeous.

If travertine is too pink, any of the tumbled whiter stone would be gorgeous. Also check out a place called Floor and Decor outlets. They have an incredible selection of stone that is really priced well.

I notice that they show it with both travertine and slate contrast tiles. Or you could continue it up the tub surround for a sort of modern finish, but maybe that doesn't go with your Martha Stewert components. I'd be inclined to just go with clean white tiles, like subway or even classic 4x4 tiles with white grout.

I'm using that tile too, with a bead board wainscoting, white vanity and mirror, November skies on the walls and a nautical look light fixture over mirror

If you like a bit of a rustic look, you could use the same tile on the shower surround as on the floor. I'm planning on using wood look tile on my shower surround when we renovate our bathrooms next year.
