The table is designed by Danish designer Piet Hein and produced by Fritz Hansen. Have a look at http://www.fritzhansen.com/en/table-series-b619-super-elliptical-extension-table-span-legs.

What kind of flooring is this and what would you call this color flooring?

This is pine. We used a stain with a color that makes it look like treated with caustic soda (lye). After that we varnished it.

thank you! If you had to choose an engineered floor (type of wood; type of color; a manufacturer you love?) to pair with a mid-century modern remodel of a Mies Van der rohe townhouse -- any suggestions greatly appreciated

Sorry, I don't know anything about engineered flooring so I can't help you with this.

If you have to use an engineered wood, maybe you could use one that has a similar look to polished concrete. Polished concrete is quintessential mid century as all of the Eichler homes that I've seen have concrete floors. A grey toned engineered wood might look really nice.
