Layout dilemma

We are building a home. Im trying to decide weather or not to include an island in the kitchen. With an island there, do you think there will be enough space for a dinning room table without it looking cluttered?

I imagine that this space will be your kitchen-dining-living, so your table would be placed between the island and the bottom windows. A regular measure for a table would be 4', so you should approach the table to the wall to have about 3,3' between table and island.
Instead of this you could do your island larger, just with the cabinets you draw, leaving the rest without in such a way that it can be used as a table.
But if this is the only space you have for a dining table I would forget about the island and put just a table, or you'll be very limited to invite friends and family to your home....unless you feel lucky about it ;)

7'4" is a bit tight for a dining area.

Find a narrow dining table - 36"w and you should be OK. You could also use a long bench on the wall side of the dining table an d chairs on the other side. That way it can go closer to the wall. Make sure you have at least 48" from the dining table to the island you plan and you should be fine.

The stove is dangerous at the end. Most people prefer a bit of counter space on each side of the stove. If you haven't started construction, consider moving the bump out for the dining area to the left at the end of the living space and adding a long island with bar stools. Your current kitchen is not very user friendly.
