What did you have to do to prepare your kitchen cabinets for painting? And how many coats did it take to paint them? Did you have to sand them?

I had my cabinets done and the painter used marine paint. I'm not sure how many times he sanded, but the paint held up for years.

I used Caromal Colours paint. ALL I did was wipe them down with cleaner. No sanding! That's the number 1 reason I chose this paint!! The green was 2 coats the white was about 4.
