Transition color between den and kitchen

I am in the process of remodeling the kitchen however I have a half wall between the den and the kitchen and need advice on how to transition the color. I would like to paint the kitchen a different color than the den. Removing the half wall is not an option. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

In order to transition color correctly, you'll need a stop point. I would bring the color through to the back splash. No sense in having the transition point catch the eye. Will need more photos to help you further. Good luck!

Thank you Marc. In picture 1 the entire wall will be painted. In picture 2 the back splash starts to the right of the door between the top and bottom cabinets. Back splash will not get installed until later in the week.
