Which lighting works better in this room?

I pasted pictures of lighting for the room. I was originally thinking of the contemporary lighting, but after pasting it the chandelier looks really good as well.

For me the contemporary works well because it follows the same form as the coffee table

Casual elegance versus formal elegance. I still think the contemporary piece is better.

But i have to say, i love chandeliers because of the beautiful crystals and how light reflects through them. Why don't you find something that has both the round form and the sparkling of the chandelier, that could be another option.

To me the chandelier is better because it adds some richness, pulls out the black in your pillows and makes the chair fabric look more upscale, for some reason. The round one seems more...commercial?

I like them both, but my personal preference is the chandelier because that's the look I love. So, in the end, for you too its just which look you prefer - more contemporary, or a little rustic elegance?

Both do look nice but I think I would go the chandelier it gives a bit of an eclectic look old and new which I love!

This is the room after lighting and drapes. What do you think?

My vote is for the first one. I like the formal classy look.

Ah, gorgeous! Definitely the first chandelier! I want to sit down and have a glass of wine with you right there - now!

Don't like the crystals. 2 bd one is better. I would do a chevron print in panels. Rust and white.

The chandelier , because otherwise the room looks to uniform in shape and makes you loose intrest and coziness

I am not a modernist, but much prefer the second one which fits the overall sleek contemporary feel. To my eye, the first one does not look eclectic with the other furnishings, just mismatched. I liked Darzy's suggestion for a contemporary look and shape with crystals.
