Need some help selecting a backsplash from Lowe's that brings these existing elements together.

I would select a tile that is a white/off-white to match the countertop. You don't want to get something busy as it will clash.

These are both from Lowe's:

I would suggest buying 1 of every tile you like at Lowe's (you can return all of them later) and take them home and place next to your counter. Get your choices down to the 3 best and think about those 3 for a few days.

Good luck! Please post a pic when you are finished.

Depending on the style in the rest of your home, I have always liked the "tin tile" style backsplashes.

Lowe's has them here:

I also love them in the coppery tones, but can't tell if it would look good or not with the countertop you have:

You have such a lovely, contemporary kitchen! Nice choices so far. I believe Lowe's has some contemporary stainless steel tile options that would not compete with the beauty of the granite you chose. I love the glass tile options that indianpatti posted.

The secret to a classic kitchen that will stay in style for years and years is to pick pattern and color very carefully -- less is best. You could pick a stylish multicolored glass mosaic, but it would have to be chosen very carefully to avoid competing with the pattern of your granite. Since you already have a granite backsplash, you don't technically require tile for the wall -- you could very easily pick a washable eggshell or semigloss paint to paint the walls to protect them from splashes.

The Lowe's website is a great resource. I saw a few options to start -- clearly you will need to bring them home to check the color against the cabinets and counters.

Posted another picture of the kitchen for reference (25 lb dog provided for scale...).

You've all provided a lot of great ideas. The stainless steel subway tiles from Lowe's were one of the first options we considered, but we were concerned they would not be noticeable. However, the more we look at the eye-catching options, the more they seem too busy to complement our countertops. The tin backsplashes our probably a bit too traditional or country for our fairly modern style. The gemstone white is beautiful, and we may consider that for our next project in the bathroom. I think we will get some of the Manhattan Cashmere to hold up at home (my, how our collection of sample tiles is growing!). Thank you for all the suggestions!

How about botticino marble mosaic? I did this in my kitchen - it's clean and classic and not too busy....
