Noisy glass.
September 2, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I am renovating my house and I am intending to make it brighter. With that in mind I am thinking about installing velux windows on my bedroom and add a glass ceiling and wall to my living room. But I do have two main concerns about it. First when it rains, will it be too noisy? And secondly, how to do you keep them clean externally? Thanks for you help.

Your Velux skylights will be dual pane, therefore they will be fairly quiet except in a really big, heavy storm. Exteriors of skylights are cleaned like most getting a body up close and personal with soapy water, a squeegee and some toweling.
