What do you suggest for new stairs? Major help needed!

Our kitchen inspiration is attached. White cabinets with modern shaker doors, dark island, white counters. Floors are natural maple.
We are installing new open natural maple stairs, but I have no idea how to match the style and colour. A lot of the maple stairs I see on houzz are too modern for our taste, I think. I've attached a couple of stairs I think I like.
Do we go all maple? Maple with glass? Maple with dark wood?
Help!

Maple (light or medium) and charcoal coated steel. Not a fan of the glass.

rinqreation, do you mean steel for the railing or the spindles or both?
Thanks!

Railings and spindles from the same material, same color, not too many spindles though (modern look).

I like the 'floating' nature of this stair. Depending on where you are located (country), this guard rail seems inadequate, as does the space btw. the steps--i.e. it won't work here in the States. I suggest, if you like this look, consider a cable railing threaded through black powder coated steel posts, that may or may not need to sit on or into the edge of a number of steps, as determined by your architect and engineer, in terms of meeting life safety and over turning moment requirements. Happy Houzzing.

A cable railing with stainless steel posts would go really nicely in place of the glass.

I personally think the styles you show, while lovely, are too contemporary and don't coordinate well with your kitchen inspiration picture. I would have a simple shaker style rail made (to complement lines of your cabinets) in the same dark wood as the island. Visualizemaven

Your kitchen looks very clean lined traditional so I would go for a clean round tapered spindle in either maple or painted wood with maple railing.

How about maple with black iron spindles?

Hi - of the 3 that you show here I like the second one the best. Why? - resell value, if you ever decide to move out.... 1) it is the least modern looking of all. "contemporary" styles may look dated in a few years and also may not suit everyone's liking, 2) it is the safest if you'll ever have children in your house for visitis or otherwise. Those large gaps in the first choice leaves much to be desired as far as safety goes and the third I'm just not a fan of as I think it looks too commercial and cold for a home.

My 2 cents. :) G' luck!
