Am looking to redo country kitchen inexpensively. Thought reclaimed wood for countertops would add warmth, cost less & be more Eco-friendly. Need all info on where to acquire wood & how to proceed. Any & all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks R

I recommend you search locally for a company that makes countertops or shelving from reclaimed wood. I cringe at what the cost of shipping wood countertops would be. But don't be surprised if these are more expensive than stone or tile. There is a lot of craftsmanship that goes into making them.

Thanks for your reply. We live in West TN, but said farm house is in the Middle TN area. Do you have any contacts or know of anyone that produces reclaimed wood countertops in either area?
