Wind is Blowing water from oudoor waterfall all over!!

We have a beautiful outdoor waterfall at the front of the house which sends water into a pool underneath. However, the wind breaks up the stream of water half way down so that water lands outside of the pool on both sides which floods the front entrance and a patio. Any advice on how to modify the fountain to maintain the beauty but keep it in check?

How about attaching plexiglass just below the water fall to 3/4 of the way down? That way the water will slide nearly all the way down and you can still see the water flowing.

Different type of fountain head, perhaps? We had a similar problem, ages ago, previous property, and iirc we simply changed the head so the spout didn't fire so high in the air.
