What should I do with landscape and porch?

Buying this house. I plan to take the two tall shrubs out on either side or window and do something but need ideas. Also small window has boxwoods under it and I plan to remove to those. I need design help all around the front of home and the porch. Welcome your ideas. And note that I am a novice

The raised bed is also quite boring as they only put it in as half circle instead of giving it some curve and character.

Hi, Be sure to keep the boxwoods and plant them somewhere else or give them away. What general climate zone is this?

I might consider painting the garage door and wood detail a nice deep charcoal grey and keep the shutters black. That's going to sharpen up the look quickly and not look too harsh for the style, imho. ; ) I would also start to take over the lawn area with some mulch and ground cover and maybe even a boulder!
