Would love to have ideas for dining table and chairs to go in area next to stairs.

I would consider a round wooden table for this area. I would also go with solid chairs, something like the one's shown below or a parson's chair, but in a fabric with print and color. Some great large scale art with color on the wall. Perhaps you could make use of the area under the stairs by putting shelving in.

Looks like the stairs were designed to be a focal point so I'd keep the table and chairs in the same shade as the railing, or you might try a class table top on an iron base to repeat the other element in the stairwell.

i would also do shelving under the stairwell there.

and a round wrought iron table could be nice with parsons chairs.

Love that your dining area is lofted with vaulted ceilings. Perfect for entertaining. Agreed with all! The round dining allows more intimate dinners with guests and leaves space for a buffet/china hutch. Perhaps having the chairs be an accent color since the surrounding walls are neutral. Hope this helps!

What a dramatic staircase! I love this too! The details in the banisters truly make a difference.

Definitely post 'after' pictures!! I would love to see what you decide!
