Curtains/blinds/? for difficult window in small upstairs sitting room
September 15, 2013 in Design Dilemma
The window is right up against the left hand side of the room. I looove curtains, but not sure this is possible here.
Secondly, the window (pic1)looks out on a very unsightly view if looking directly at it, however, sitting in my favourite spot on the sofa I look out of the window at an angle (pic 2)with a view of the mountain, harbour and, I still want to be able to enjoy this. ..... Any suggestions?

(I would have liked to do a combination of quite sheer/loose weave linen fabric together with a block out fabric so that I could soften the view and pull aside when I want to see it from my seat!? Also a very sunny room)

Ps the other wall in the room has large glass doors opening onto a balcony (pic3).....which I plan to hang with floor length curtains....

Your might try using a closet rod flange on the left side of the window and a wood curtain bracket on the right side.
