New sofa

I just bought my dream sofa--but not sure if this is the right placement for it in the room. Also, do I need pillows for it? Big high ceilings so it's kind of cold feeling in this room.

As you have only one shot of the room, the sofa looks fine there. Yes, you need pillows; you need window treatments and when you purchase some chairs, get a fabric that will hold it own against the leather…. Your artwork needs to be lowered and another coffee table would be a better compliment to the sofa.

Something like these chairs….the houndstooth pattern, a heavy linen look (in polyester), a paisley, even two wicker wings would look great.

Here is an idea….this fabric on chair cushions with wicker wing chairs. Orange would look great with your painting.

You need a throw for the sofa with a bit more texture as well. Having that dream leather sofa comes with a price;)

Only shot of the room....maybe it is small? But, the coffee table seems to be blocking an entrance.

Bottom of art s/b about 4" from top of sofa. You need a much larger piece of art there. Would also recommend drapes to help soften.

Let's get the furniture set first, though.

Need more photos of room.

Yep, agree with cdrdesign (haha... what's new) that we need more photos of your room to see if there are other options to place your sofa.
And yes, your lovely painting is a bit small for there and should be lower, but you could add other pieces and make an 'art wall'.

2 decorative drapery panels would work great in this space . The rods should be mounted about 6'' above the window and I would made the panels 24'' wide one on either side.
