I am building a new house with white kitchen cabinets and black granite for countertop . So should I do square edges or bullnose / semi bullnose for countertops?? Thanks for your advice :)

Not bullnose. That is dated. Do either beveled edge, Dupont, Dupont cove, coved, or ogee or just flat edge. You can Houzz granite edge detail and see the options, or google search it.

What is the style of your kitchen? If more modern or contemporary, I would do a slightly eased or pencil edge. If more traditional, I think you are ok with some of the more elaborate edges, although I personally prefer something like a pencil edge regardless of the style of the kitchen.

Do an eased edge. It's a small radius that takes the sharpness off a square edge.

Another vote for eased edge. That's what we did with our new counter tops, and I'd definitely do it again.

I did a double eased edge (top and bottom) in my new (modern) kitchen. Love it.
