Polished porcelain flooring

Do you recommend polished porcelain tile for flooring? I'm trying to get a shine without spending the money for the granite or marble.

We've done some very nice work with polished porcelain - sometimes alternating it with unpolished of the same color, to add some subtle visual texture. Rectified color-body polished porcelain is very hard and durable, though not necessarily known for being economical.

The back splash tile in this photo is Buenos Aires Mood, by Crossville.
