do you mean the enclosed area? it looks like a great spot for planting azaleas or rhododendrons..or whatever kinds of plants you like depending on the climate and sun.

The forest in the back of your yard is wonderful. The wood ties look old. Natural rocks, the kind you can find in the country side for free, would make a nice divide between your grass and forest garden. Much work and time to do a border as long as yours, but money saved could be put into buying some shrubs and perennials for the under growth area of this forest garden full of great potential.

No need to go this high though with rocks. Ferns would look nice with the flowering shrubs suggested above.

My grandkids would go crazy for a play house in the woods! You could probably tuck something in there.

When I was a kid I loved playing in the woods. Clean out the undergrowth and poison ivy and let them discover nature. You could mulch part of the area or use pine straw. Put a swing between two trees and a hammock. Let them design a "tree house" that's on the ground. Add a moss garden. Put some string lights from tree to tree to create a beautiful area in the evening.

Cute ideas above, but the treehouse on the ground, in reality, is a haven for you, snakes, spiders, and other critters...

Hey, it's the woods. Any of the critters, including snakes, can get in a tree house that's 10 feet off the ground. At least you won't break your leg falling out when you see the spider ; )

Let kids plant shade wildflower seeds and watch them grow.

A fresh layer of pine bark mulch would look pretty nice along with a simple sitting area, pathway, or swing of sorts.
