Kitchen pot fillers???

Am thinking of installing one but a couple of questions for those who have them:
1.is it actually worth having? Or is a second sink the way to go?
2.doesn't the water splash everywhere when it hits the pan from that height?

I like having one (second sink not an option for our layout). If I'm using a smaller pot I will hold it pot to avoid splashing but with large pots it's not an issue. We make a lot of use of ours.

While some folks happily use these faucets, in general I consider them more of a style element than a practical tool. Don't want to be a buzz-kill, but in addition to watching for fill splash, you will have to carry the pot elsewhere to drain pasta or potato water, etc. anyway. So the convenience is at one end of the operation only. And be careful to stay and watch the fill. Don't walk away! Have fun! Mark

I so agree with Someone's in the Kitchen Inc. Waste of the cost of pluming it over to stove!

I don't get the idea of pot fillers either. For the reasons already stated, you have to carry the pot back to the sink anyway to drain.

I too agree with Someone's in the Kitchen. Other than looking pretty and if money is no object, I wouldn't bother.
