Window coverings for sliding doors

We've got a 1960s modern-style house. I've done away with window coverings downstairs, but in my husband's office/study upstairs (an addition), we put up some blinds for the awning windows in the front to minimize the sun coming in. We also have 2 sliding doors on opposite walls, which is where my dilemma comes in. Right now we have a pair of vertical blinds covering them. I want to get rid of them, but I don't know what else would work in that space. Suggestions?

You can get shutters made to frame sliders...
we added shutters to front fixed-glass windows and have a set of sliders across the room...
it would look good to have the same type of window covering in same room but it is an expensive application...since they are so large...
What do you want to do--block sun, add privacy/color/texture?
You can get a film to use on the glass and give privacy w/o obscuring the view too much I think...
You can get woven wood type grommet drapes for sliders...
I have similar but shorter one for my pass-through kitchen window...

We have stacking blinds on our sliders. I do not know the correct term, but there are maybe 5 pieces that I can push pack and they stack behind each other. I can open up just one if I want a little light or view or 2 or whatever I want. Many colors and textures to choose from, so they coordinate with our room just fine.

I like grommet drapes as they stack back nicely and also have nice folds when covering a window. Also, IKEA has some great ideas for stacking sliding panels. Good luck
