I remodeled a dining room buffet but now i need decorating ideas on what to put on top an inside that would add more color

Remove the mirror and put a painting in it's place. That would be instant color that would also add class to the great job you did. Or go dramatic with the black heads. These large paintings were all on etsy.com. A mirror is sort of boring.

Are there lights in the top of the glass front cabinets and the top of the center section? Effective lighting can add as much visual interest as color.

As for color, look for what you like to populate the glass cabinets. Just be careful not to overdo color. The built-in has a somewhat formal look. Lots of bold bright color is contrary to the formality.

I would add beautiful china. Its in a Dinning Room so dish's would be appropriate and add lots of color :)
