Furniture layout and TV nook?
October 4, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Our new living room has a few odd angles and an asymmetrical fireplace. We're trying to figure out where to put the TV, and where to put furniture. It's been suggested that we put the couch facing the fireplace, with a chair on either side, anchored by a large rug. I'm wondering what to do with the space off to the right, near the windows. Maybe a reading nook with a built in bench?
My inclination is to put the tv and a sectional couch in the front end of the living room (if you're looking at the layout picture, it's the bottom left). There's a 5ft wall where the TV could fit. Does this seem like a good idea? We also have two small kids so a play area would also be convenient. I'm open to any and all of your suggestions!

Guess you didn't get your answer before and now have a double thread going. I'm not going to answer here but on the previous thread where there are more pix to help me out.
