Front door color? Was thinking either charcoal or dark grey or or some form of blue? Please ignore the in progress yard/deck

Are you keeping the trim white and the shutters black? I like the sage green with sage green trim all around, or black door with white trim.

Yes keeping the shutters black and trim white. It's vinyl sided (no love for vinyl but couldn't afford to keep painting it)

Keep the storm door ,if you live in a cold country where snow and wind are heavy we need storm doors .

High gloss black for the front door and a full-view black storm door. Door and storm always the same color…

Haha. Sorry I should have said "choosing color scares me". Although I do tend to play it safe.

I was planning to say hunter green to tie in with the greenery around the house until I spotted this citrus green one.

To me, your door is certainly saying "paint me, make me proud!" At present, it almost seems to apologize for being there.

And what better chance to have some creative fun! You might just love it!

And if at first you're not so sure about the color punch that you've added, give it at least a couple weeks to grow on you. Then if you still want it to -- it can be gone in an afternoon.

Have fun! Mark

OK jdevinone- now that you explained yourself about picking the color and you mentioned that you are thinking blue, how about BM Newburyport blue?

Margo love that blue - gorgeous! I've gotta see if I can find it on a brick house.

Got it! Here's one traditional blue door against brick exterior.

But can I entice you with a teal blue one? :)

Bellesum prefer the trad blue better. Teal is nice but when I moved in the previous owner had teal doors and shutters - to ward off evil spirits. I guess it was some native Indian thing. Don't wanna go that color again

My first impression of your photo is: You need some color!!!! The great news is that your existing exterior is very neutral. You can go with just about anything. I would start with your favorite color and DON'T play it safe. Consider the following Benjamin Moore colors:
2052-40 blue spa
2052-30 tropical turquoise
2053-30 north sea green
2072-20 black raspberry
2171-20 fire dance

I would use shades of the accent color you choose for the door and add flowers and accessories to your deck to tie it all together. Have fun!
