What to do with lots of room & area sized carpets?
October 7, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Just moved into a new home with an open floor plan and nice hardwood floors. Also brought with us a load of Asian & Persian carpets that are now scattered around the different areas of the great room and entryway. Looks "busy"! Any ideas on how to utilize smaller rugs in such a way as to make the area less "clumsy?"

This is art and like art you must arrange it properly to get the special effect, by looking at your collection some don't have the colours that others have ,if you can match them up leave them if not roll those up and store them , you can go seasonal with rugs as well ,pick autumn colours and work with those for now ,remove the ones that are bright and pull those out for the summer months .
