Living room color

Can I do a white living room when all the other rooms are painted other colors? I was going to paint the living room ceiling the color of the kitchen walls(you can see the living room from the kitchen and vice versa). There is also a small foyer between these two rooms. Wondering about a color for this, too. Thanks!

It depends. If you have a lot of white in the rest of your home then you are good, as for examples- furniture, trims/door frames/ moldings, or if your kitchen cabinets are white, then yes it will definetly work. Otherwise if not then maybe you can choose one feature wall to do white and the rest light nutreul color. Or you can do a light biege color on all walls. May we see some pictures of the space and kitchen?
