Window treatment dilemma

We have a lake view with windows that get late afternoon sun. There are sliding glass doors at the floor level and ayssemetrical windows about 12-20 feet above. We are trying to figure out how to block the hot sun but keep the look open, with easy to open and close curtains or blinds. We don't like mini blinds. Any ideas _ pictures? Thanks julie

I would suggest installing solar powered roller sun shades. They operate by a small solar power pack and one should be enough to operate all of the upper windows. Although sun shades control the "bad" rays they let all the good light in so your view won't disappear. 100% Polyester fabric will also help filter the light if you want the lower area to have more traditional sheers. Otherwise roller sun shades will work here too. Sun Glow offers a beautiful collection of unique designer quality roller shade fabrics through interior designers here in Canada.

Solar shades they can be on a remote control for high windows. Love your view.

Roller shades with a open factor of about 10% will save your view and block harmful UV rays.

are you covering the angled windows above? if so I would suggest plantation shutters. They can be made in the shape of the windows.

for the lower windows, I would suggest by-pass shutters.
