Build on or garage apartment?

need extra living quarters for family members.. trying to decide to add on to my home or building a small garage apartment.. just don't know which way to go financially.. will it be cheaper to add on to our existing home to give them seperate living space or build the garage apartment?

    Look at the Houzz profiles of architects in your area. Contact one or more of them directly for a consultation.
