Is the striped pillow too much for the geometric rug or should I go with the other two in similar colours?

I like all of them. Why not use the yellow ones during the spring/summer and the other one for fall/winter?

Agree with Pamela. Or vary the shape of the cushion. Do you have smaller and longer ones in the striped?

I like that idea of keeping the lighter ones for spring and summer. They are actually mor gold than yellow. I can shop for a longer shaped one

Small sofa, I vote for just one pillow: the geometric one. Love it with the art. For more color on the sofa, find a throw.

I think the yellow should be the same as the yellow in the painting..maybe a little more textural .. the couch is a flat texture.... Keep the stripe one too and I like the throw. Also add a small piece onto the cocktail table .. maybe a blue/yellow sculpture

I'm not a huge fan of the stripe. I would use the 2 pillows on the left, with the solid pillow being a little smaller than the other pillow. Since we're going into fall, the addition of a throw is lovely and there are so many different textures available.

Hi....think in "form follows function". When you sit on that couch, what are you going to do right away----yep, move the pillows. So, why have them there to begin with?

Can you place the striped pillow on the left, add a smaller pillow that you have around the house next to it, place a blanket (or whatever you have around) over the right arm and then take a photo and post it?

Why is that blue pillow on the right? Can you remove it? If so, please do. Is there one on the left also? Same thing.

Thanks

Nice little space!

A few more suggestions

-remove the table by the bifold door, unless your really need it.
-can you move the chaise chair back some and just eliminate the ottoman or put it elsewhere?
-Is that a tv or computer?
-move framed photos to one spot or to another room and to one spot.....too fragmented all over the room.
how about the afghan on the chaise

If it doesn't bother you that you can't get to the closet, then table is okay. Just looks not very convenient to have a table there.

What is the light right now? Is it a table lamp or connected to the table?

I was thinking a floor lamp would work.

Smart move to get rid of table by closet.

Do you have an afghan to put on the chaise just for looks?

I have to buy one that goes with the room. I think I can get used to that arrangement with the chair my table does need due cluttering ill get right to it the lamp idea sounds interesting. I'll be shopping in the states this weekend love the choices there. The company with the one throw does not deliver to Canada ,but there are plenty of high end stores in the Detroit are.

Carol-----I think that afghan is fantastic with your pillows. The fact that your mother-in-law made it is very special.

If you can remove the cushion, here is what you can do for a neat display.

Take the afghan how you have it folded now but unhalf it so that one fringe is on one end, one fringe on the other. Then, lay in on the back as it is now. Take the rest of it and tuck it under the seat part. The other end of the fringe will be peaking out of the front of the cushion.

LIke this, but it goes totally under the cushion.

If that does not work, we can try other arrangements, like laying it diagonally over the chaise.

I like decos' idea of the arc lamp. If you do that, though, I wouldn't buy one that is too large. Your room is small and some of these are massive.

One idea would be to use only the arc lamp in the room, placing it between the chaise and the couch.

What do you think?

Yes. Do you like that look for the afghan? Cushion sticks up a little Thick aghan. You can try laying it across angled also.

You can buy cable managers at Home Depot and Lowe's. They are velcro and tie the cords together and or/around the back legs of the table.

In addition, you could put a large basket under there and put your magazines in it. The plant just looks like it was......welll....put there to hide something.

I would suggest placing tv in center.

The giraffe is nice, but the way I like to put it is: "don't decorate a tv."

So, put the giraffe in another room where he can be a showpiece.

Group pictures together. I don't know if there is anywhere in this room to do that.....otherwise somewhere else.

It would be nice eventually to get a larger tv and house it in an entertainment center.

Have fun on your shopping trip!!

I said basket, but of course you don't want anything cutesy. You have very good taste---you know what I mean. You can also try something different like

-notice in photo above with the afghan, they stacked pillows underneath.

If you can find an open box to house your small tv, it would be great. It would separate it from your lovely mirror and anything you put next to it.

Or center it and put some open cubes on either side of it......something to make it look like it fits in. You might find something like this (open cubes) at Staples or Office Depot or even Target.

Or center tv and put 2 large vases on either side.

It is something we'd have to play with.

O guess what I am saying is that you have this gorgeous mirror which is sort of dwarfiing the little tv and it just looks awkward. If we made a "foundation" under the mirror, it would not look so odd.
