need help with bathroom renovation

I have renovated our guest bathroom and I am stuck on a few details. The sink faucet and the bathtub faucet are both chrome. I am going to put oil rubbed doorknobs on all of the interior doors in the house. My question is, do I use a chrome rod for a custom made shower curtain or do I use a rod that has the oil rubbed finish. The small details really matter to me. Thanks for the help!

I would suggest that all the hardware in the bathroom be the same finish and let the door knobs all be different. Is there any other hardware in the bath, like towel bars, rings, flush levers. If it is all chrome, then of course match the rod.

When you get to the paint, I would love to help. I do digital color consultations all of the time for a living and I love it! You email me the pic, I digitally paint it and email it back to you. Its that easy!

You can see some of my work here on houzz or on fb at Or you can check out my services at my site at

I also have a FREE option so you can basically test it out my services and I will make you two pictures for free. Then if you want more, you have to pay $29.99 and you will get a set of 7 pictures...

I hope to hear back from you soon!

Your bathtub rod should be the same as your other bath finishes in most cases I would think, unless accenting a shower curtain in some cases. In this general question, I would say it should be chrome like your faucets. You may want to rethink the oil rubbed bronze finish for door handles. I think you are going to find that this finish does not hold up to excessive use. Consider a satin or brushed nickel instead, IMHO.
