I'm looking to putting wood in the dining room/living room and landing. I have dogs and kids that do a lot of running around. I am hearing that laminate wood would be the best way to go and that it's last for 25 years. Need advise please.

laminate is great! And affordable, but like anything, so,e are better than others. I'd get the best you can afford and make sure you have a reputable installer.
