Smoke from fireplace?

Hi there. I love the dimensions of your fireplace and am looking at doing something similar on our patio. Most outdoor fireplaces have MUCH larger chineys, however... do you have issues with smoke not leaving the sitting area due to the relatively low (and attractive) chimney height?

Thanks for asking! Generally, the fire burns cleaning and the smoke flows upward quite well. But we have had some occasions (windy days) where we will get a downdraft and some smoke can blow toward the sitting area. We are considering adding one more foot to the chimney, as well as adding one more course of brick to the opening. Hope this helps.
