I like your Prairie Style the best because it is most true to detail from that period. Your Southwest and Mediterranean have some design details that are not as accurate to the period as I would like to see in these styles...........

Of course, I am making an assumption that you are trying to stay within the period and are not making modern design changes and taking "artistic license".......

It depends on the home, owner and their, preferences.

Wow...there isn't really too much of a difference from the first two and I would say that the inside of the third is the same as the first two.

Prairie, looks more custom than the others.

None of the above. No imagination there.

HI -- The third one is a Prairie style ,which is timeless . But the inside floor plan is the important part .

The second house looks more California Mission Style to me than Southwest. I live in the Southwest, and it is too dry for palm trees in most of New Mexico and Arizona.

The final link is the same as the second one. Going by your house plan numbers, the 3rd link should actually be - http://www.eplans.com/house-plans/epl/hwepl00896.html

Please do update that if you will. Cheers. :-)

While what a house looks like on the outside may be important, it's the inside floor plan that should be top priority. I have looked at hundreds of floor plans before I built the 6 homes I have had over the years (including a cabin!). Inevitably, I would end up combining several features from multiple plans and have a drafts person create the final floor plan. So glad I did! Right now I'm looking for the perfect single story, open concept floor plan and have yet to find it. Houzz, do you have it?

Hi dbuerkle, building six homes is pretty impressive! Which was your favorite? Also, have you taken a look at the collection of one-story plans on eplans? You can narrow it down to open-plan layouts, among other factors. Our modification service is a great way to customize almost any plan, too.
