Need to find 2 barstools to fit small bar-top counter
October 31, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I have just installed "Petrified Wood" Formica 180fx counters. I love the look with my eat-in area. (2 large rattan chairs on abstract rug in front of plenty of windows) I am hoping to find 2 simple barstools for the bar-top area adjacent to table. That particular counter is above my sink. I do not want wood-for obvious reason, or anything with arms- too big; bronze type legs w/ low back could work if rounded. Maybe some rattan or solid fabric OK. The underside of counter is only 8" deep. The walkway alongside counter is 3' from wall at floor to edge of rug, so there is a not a lot of room for them to stick out. I was thinking that a padded seat would act as a bumper to avoid marks on the wall too. I want just a little place for a guest to sit while I am in kitchen. When we have company, everyone stands there leaning against the bar-top anyway, so I know they would be used. I would prefer something that is very inexpensive. I appreciate any ideas or photos. I know there is so much talent with you all. I have glass backsplash tiles going in next week. My kitchen is almost completely done and then I will post good photos of the entire space. P.S. Please do not tell me how "busy" everything is. It is all compatible and is not busy to me at all. Thanks so much!
