what do you think of travertine tile for entrance & bath in house?

Wasn't sure travertine is best, durable choice for traffic and water? The tile I chose is dull and not the glossy, so it won't be slippery.

Actually travertine can be slippery. All the stone tiles can be slippery and travatine an offshoot of marble is soft, which can scratch quite easily in an entrance. We use this alot in kitchens and baths with great success. Any tile with texture will help with being slippery. And a rug inside the entrance door will help greatly with what ever you chose. Good luck
