What is the best paint sheen to use for the interior of a house - flat or eggshell paint? Or is it just simply one's preference? Thanks!

im repainting my whole house in semi gloss Antique Beige that way i can wash any finger marks that get on it. stays nice and lasts longer ... flat seems to attract every mark has no shine .. eggshell is nice if you dont want it too shiney like semi gloss .. but it has a little gloss . kitchen and baths should be in semi gloss from the steam and cooking helps to last longer too .... hope this helps ......
