One thought is to not address it at all...draw attention away from it by focusing on the smallest of the four walls and making it the center of attraction.

In your other post, I see that that wall is all arched windows...might want to beef up your fireplace visually

I def need to do something with the fireplace. That pic is going but struggling with what to do there as well. Took me a year just to finalize the furniture and window treatments! I can't believe I have 2 posts! :/ it told me it didn't load! :(

And as much as I love my awesome dog I can't imagine him filling that wall! Lol. And I have looked and looked and looked for art but haven't fallen for anything I love enough yet.

I would definitely put up some artwork of if you want something that is a little bolder, you should consider finishing the wall in wallpaper... a nice print would add a lot interest to the space... just a thought

If the wall didnt extend to the adjacent room that would work but its a funky wall that keeps going and going and going.

For the fireplace, extend tile or stacked stone all the way to the ceiling

I like the idea of stone. What about the side wall though as they connect. An then maybe paint the cabinet? I can't stand this wall either! Tackling both at the same time is overwhelming!

Make just the fireplace front the center of attraction. By going from the mantel up, you'll be adding texture and interest in a different plane from the adjoining wall...visually, your eye will fall there first.

This is a gorgeous house! I would put three large antiqued rectangular mirrors in the center of the wall, and stack another piece of art the same size on top of the one over the fireplace. We use the one attached often and love it!

I like that idea as well! Why do my pica get cut off when I try to view? Can't see the entire mirror! So either 1 Palladian mirror with flanking art or 3 rectangular mirrors and art over fireplace. Where can I get a rectangular mirror like shown?

They typically sell modern art posters which would be wonderful matted and framed for above your fireplace.

Mat with wide light matting and frame with very narrow white, cream or light wood tone for a very modern, simple, clean look. Pull colours from your art work into pillows

Just did this in a home! Molded panels are classic and take the vaulted ceiling back a century! You could also run beams across at the point the vault starts!
Think reclaimed heart pine-

Sorry, that wood isn't working at all with the arches and the boxed in areas on your wall. Is that the finished look?

Not finished. Whole room is being painted white including hand rail above. The reclaimed heart pine siding is stunning in person but definitely a preference. The floors will be dark, but I was only posting to show the molded panels not the accent wall.

I actually considered doing the molding to break up the wall. With some Sort of textured wallpaper in the windows. A girlfriend of mine did an it looked amazing!! Can't decide between art or 3 mirrors. Or mirror and art flanking...attached is another view of the fireplace

I have a tiny house with 10' high ceilings and have done some "high" decorating....like in my bedroom I have a small desk unit that has high shelving unit at the back, and I have some art pieces along the top of my mirror...in the living room I have a tall armoire, and put a cool antique birdcage on top of it... in the kitchen, I have wooden "houses" on top of my refrigerator and a long narrow painting supported on top of my cabinets. My house isn't real "country" (more eclectic) but the accessories up high add warmth and make the space part of the room.
